Discount code statistics

Everything below is counted from hunt.discount's own database on August 13, 2026, not gathered from anywhere else. The numbers move as shoppers submit codes and vote on whether they worked, so treat this page as a snapshot rather than a fixed figure.

Coverage

hunt.discount tracks 920 discount codes across 207 online shops, of which 465 have not expired. That works out at 2.2 unexpired codes per shop on average. 15 codes were added in the last 30 days. Unexpired is not the same as working: it means only that no expiry date has passed, and a code with no expiry date never expires however it is voted on.

How often codes actually work

Shoppers have filed 112 reports on 74 codes, saying whether it was accepted at checkout. 92% of those reports were confirmations that the code worked — which is the plainest measure we have of how much a listed code can be trusted. The count excludes whatever the submitter voted on their own code — the automatic upvote it gets on submission, or a later change of mind — since reporting on your own submission is not independent evidence.

The remaining 8% are reports of failure, and they are the more useful half: they are what pushes a dead code down the page.

How deep the discounts go

Among unexpired percentage discounts, the median is 20% off and the largest is 70% off. Half of them are therefore worth more than 20% off, and half less.
